Can the FreshWater 5-Way Test Strips be stored outside? No. The key to storing the test strips is to keep them in a cool and dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent the color chart from fading. Also making sure the lid is secured also prevents the test strips from getting too much moisture prior to usage.
Do these Test Strips expire? Yes. All test strips will have an expiration date printed on the bottom of the bottle. You will typically have 12-18 months to use the strips prior to them expiring.
The colors on the Test Strips change over time, when are they most accurate? The most accurate time to compare the colors of the strips to the bottle is 5-10 seconds after dipping the strip in the hot tub water. The readings will be skewed if you wait longer than 30 seconds.
Do these Test Strips measure chlorine? Yes. These test strips measure the amount of free chlorine in the hot tub.
How many strips does the FreshWater 5-way Test Strips come with? 40 strips.
